By We Do Daily News October 12, 2018

Every year the period ranging from October 1st to October 7th, is considered as a period of celebration in China. The whole nation gets immersed in celebration of festivity for its National Day Holiday, and this particular well is known as Golden Week. During this period there is a huge increase in the number of Chinese who prefer to travel overseas. In the previous year, there were more than 6 million international trips which were made by the people from China during the specific week holiday.

During this period almost 41% of the total annual trips are made by the residents of China. The power of buying for the outbound Chinese tourists is beyond any type of doubt, with each one having the power of spending on average over RMB 9,000 during 2017 week-long holiday.

Based on the data shared by Statistics Netherlands in May 2017, the total number of Chinese tourists who were travelling to Netherlands crossed the margin of 300,000 who traveled in last 5 years time. Dutch businesses happily welcomed this rush of Chinese tourists, and WeChat Pay along with extensive promotions turned out to become the ‘magic wand’ for attracting the Chinese customers. WeChat Pay presence is found in over 40 countries, and it’s supporting direct transactions in the 13 currencies.
